Blame it all to our ancestors

We were doing some little shopping yesterday and we were musing about how Filipinos celebrate Christmas. People are scattered around the city busily shopping as though there weren’t global financial crisis going on. While entering one of the malls, Donald was commenting on how Filipinos spend so much this time of year and I was like :”You never know, 90% of money spent for shopping was loaned.” Oh yeah, Filipinos are known for that. No, not about the loan but we are known about spending more even if it hurts our pockets. maybe it’s because of our state of being such a big eaters. Please don’t get me wrong. I have read books and blogs and watched movies about celebrating Christmas in the US and some countries and they aren’t like us. Here, it’s not at all complete without lechon, dishes from slaughtering one or two (or even three) pigs, hams, numerous desserts, pastas, flowing coke and beers. Blame it all to our ancestors. For those who still are planning to shop today or was caught offguard with unexpected purchases but has already drained their purses, go apply for a quick and simple application for payday loans. In just minutes, you could get approved even with bad credit history. Gone are the days when you just sit there and wait for a miracle to be knocking on your door.
