My three-day absence from blogging was totally unplanned.

Nope, I didn’t give birth! I know Julie would be so surprised if I did!
I was out of the blogosphere due to our intermittent internet connection. Donald was more agitated than I so he made all the calls to the Smart. Bro’s toll free hotline. While he tried all his might to sound very devastated of their lousy service so they would fix the problem quickly, I was laughing because he was mixing up Tagalog and Cebuano dialect. I know he wanted to say some more but chose to end the conversation because his tongue went stiff from speaking Tagalong while in slight anger. I was telling him the person he was talking to would just tell him to observe and wait for 24 hours and another 24 hours for the next day so it’s better that next time the same problem occurs, he should demand to speak to the President of the company which would be the right person to address his disappointment and mixed up Tagalog with a Cebuano accentuation.
Our trip to Bukidnon was cancelled and I forgot to write it here last week. For some reason, my FIL cancelled it and I think it’s better that he did since the weather is not suitable for long trips. We even didn’t go to the market last Satuday because it was raining and going out would be a sacrifice for us. It was so cold outside and we couldn’t do more than to snuggle in bed.
Sunday morning was still drizzling. We all got so excited because the boxes from Mama Ingrid arrived, 4 of them, and Donald was as eager as I am to open it so we opened all of the boxes. Ella was very happy to see plenty of “projects” for her.
Mama Ingrid sent more than enough because she was tempted to buy in bulk upon seeing these items on sale. She also has some books and games which caused the debate between her and Donald because Donald couldn’t figure out the rules of one of the board games.
Inside the boxes are assortments of sheets, towels, pillows and blanket used to protect the convection oven and other fragile stuffs. Bottles of vitamins, medicines and some stuff for the first aid box. An Igloo cooler that could be plugged in to use as a tiny fridge where baby clothes and cute baby shoes are stuffed. Mama Ingrid sent baby clothes for either a boy or a girl and I so wish it is a girl because the girls clothes and shoes are oh so cute!!!!! Couple of infant formula in a can, a huge bottles of honey and cans of powdered juice and oatmeals, Donald’s favorite Nutella Ferrero which taste so heavenly (I guess it’s the same filling in Ferrero Rocher’s chocolates), couple of bags of corn candies, boxes of pastas, packs of popcorn, cookies and ramens as well. There are also some tools of many kinds, bags and kitchen stuffs mostly Tupperwares and Donald’s wristwatch which he wore from sun-up to sun-up…yeah! He wore it even in bed.
And the most exciting part for us is to taste the so called best-rice in the world.
I felt so bad to feed Bogart Jasmine Rice.
I hope he understands that this came from the US and it costs so much to send it here and that he can eat the local rice instead. But since we ran out of rice from Tatang, we let him taste Jasmine Rice yesterday and he was probably the first Filipino dog to taste such expensive rice.
After getting so excited with the boxes, we started getting ready for the Sunday worship service. We have a visitor here from Kabacan and he was the one who delivered the message. I held the class inside the house like I did for a couple of months now. We had the story about the birth of Jesus and I let them draw the scene. I would have no problems with the art supplies anymore. I could ask Ella to share some boxes of crayons and other coloring materials so the kids will not use her own stuff anymore. After our class, we went inside the chapel just in time when the others have gone home and Ella started her selling of blocks AGAIN. I wanted to stop her but her Lola Rosy and Auntie Lourdes said to let her sell. So she did and Inang was laughing so hard when she heard Ella do some her sales talk to Edward, a bachelor member, who at first said he won’t buy. Ella won’t take NO for an answer and so she said, “Kapag hindi mo ito binili ngayon, wala ng stock nito sa Sunday (If you won’t buy this now, there would be no stock like this on Sunday) And so she sold the block!
Oh the picture of Donald and the baby above? That’s a baby of one of the members born two Sundays ago. She’s so tiny! She’s only 3 lbs, just half of Ella’s size when she was born. When Donald saw the baby, he asked me if he could hold the baby so I could take a photo of him that he could use to fool my BIL, sisters and my in-laws.
Still it was raining today and I was awakened by a disturbing pain in my lower hip with painful contractions. I always do contract and I am getting used to it but I am new to this pain on my hips so I sent Donald to get the midwife just a few houses away. Ella welcomed her and apologized for her mess. I am comfortable with her because she’s not like the old midwives that I know who prays latin and believes in tales. She agreed that I am carrying very low and she did some gentle massage to push the baby up. True that after the belly massage, I feel the baby is higher which made me feel comfortable going around the house and sitting infront of my pc. Only that I feel awkward with our computer table and I now agree to Donald that we need to get better one among the several computer desks that are sold in the city.
