my life, my family, my dreams, my hopes and fantasies

Fried ostrich

Early this morning I woke up with a very heavy head and it went on until late in the afternoon. I can’t seem to figure out the reason. It’s not migraine, just a pain on my temple but I have problem trying to relax. This goes on for a couple of days and during the evening, I feel tightening on my nape. We eat healthy foods and if we had meat, we always add vegetables as extender and I do cut down on salt. So how come I feel my blood pressure is shooting up again. :-( Oh well, I just hope it’s because of the weather which could be too striking hot during the noontime and would end up raining late in the afternoon.

Ella came home from school saying sorry about her torn umbrella. Donald was scolding him about it because we just bought it last week. She looked so sincere that she was sorry so I didn’t add to her Daddy’s sermon but I told her that she was too careless and that we may not be able to replace it anytime soon. I have to look on it if I still can do some fixing. Partly the blame is on us because we have not learned our lesson on buying her a durable umbrella but we settled on a cheap one from the Chinese store with the same cheapo materials. Lesson learned: Go for more expensive but with good quality umbrella next time.

We are glad that we are able to work on OHJ again. That would mean more moolah. ;-) We really need the job because we should save up for the baby’s delivery and for Ella’s 6th birthday. She was asking us to celebrate her birthday in the beach and Donald and I have long agreed on that idea since she loves the beach and it would cost us less than to celebrate it at home. Preparing for a small party at home is not as easy as I imagined plus the cleaning up is too much to handle for me because by that time we have a 2 months old baby.

On the other note, Ella’s chicken are big now and in a week they could be perfect for fried chicken. Donald told me we I will butcher them on MY birthday. Yes, you read it right. I’d butcher them alone on my birthday because Donald said I am better at it. There would be no problem with me since I have done that to several dozens of chicken before but we have problem with the owner. Ella said yes to me when I said that we would buy her chicks if she’d let us butcher them when they get big and she also said yes to me last month when I reminded her that we would fry them soon. But now she protested. She said we should wait until they are big enough so we asked what her idea of BIG ENOUGH is and that is as big as her Daddy. Ella, we are not raising ostrich! Just some chicken.

By the way, you got to try checking on Festina watches which are best as Holiday gifts for your loved ones.
