Poor Teddy

For more than a week now we have plenty of rain around here and since it would be sunny after the rain or the other way around, people are getting sick. Poor Teddy Bear, he has come down with flu and Ella won’t bring her to the doctor….she said to the other bear (Teddy’s brother), “Alagaan natin siya. Huwag na tayong pumunta sa doctor kasi sayang lang ang pera. Pagpahingahin na lang natin siya dito sa bahay….” (Let’s take care of him. We won’t be going to the doctor because we will just be wasting our money. We will just let him rest here at home.) I do not know where does she got that idea of wasting money when going to the doctor because I can’t remember that we have said that to her. Maybe too much watching tv? But I can’t say she has poor mothering ability by that statement because you could laugh at how she takes care of Teddy. She wraps him with blankets at night and she puts on bonnet, sweater and pyjamas so he won’t get cold. How I wish Teddy will get well soon because I am hearing her drama for days now. Our drama queen has her script written somewhere in her brain.

Teddy is a boy but Ella said he won’t mind wearing girl’s clothes at all.

While we are having lunch, Tatang and Inang came by bringing rice and rambutan. They joined us for lunch and have a long chat with them about my good neighbors. The supposed to be sheeps turned goats. After they left, we went to Ate Lourdes’ house. She is the wife of the Church’s Treasure and is very nice. We’ve been bonding lately going to other member’s place to eat rambutan and marang. We spent a couple of hours chatting at their dining table. I could not cut the conversation and say goodbye so I asked Donald if he can go buy vegetables, meat and fish in the market while I and Ella stayed there. The market is just one block away from Ate Lourdes’ house so Donald has no problem with that. When he came back, we finally adjourned our meeting chatting and off we went to the grocery store. We just bought the important stuff and things we are running out of or totally ran out since our earnings hasn’t sent yet to our account.

Another week has gone by and tomorrow will be worship day again. After our lesson tomorrow, I will let the kids watch a movie again. I am planning to let them watch Veggie Tales’ story about Jonah so they won’t be running around in the worship hall. But I am having problems with the clothes lately. When we last went to Davao I have not bought maternity clothes except for a pair of maternity jeans because I am not showing yet then and because there are other things that are more important. We have not bought anything for the baby yet. Although it is too early yet for these stuff but baby stuff, like baby bedding are very expensive. But after just three weeks, I looked ridiculous with everything I wear. Glad I have still some tops that won’t make me look like someone from outer space. Wish I have bought tops to go with my jeans when we go out and dress to wear to church. I never expected I’d look pregnant at four months because with Ella, I began showing up when I was 6 months pregnant which at that time I looked like 3 months pregnant. I was so jealous with the pregnant women having big bellies because they really looked pregnant while I looked silly wearing pillow cases maternity dress. I am thankful that this time my belly is bigger than the first because I could get special care when riding public vehicles earlier during pregnancy I am excited to wear pillow cases maternity clothes again.
