Ella moved in her new HOME

I do not know why I feel I wanted to clean the whole house. It was like I am going somewhere for a vacation and I do not want to see any clutter when I return. When we did the laundry yesterday, I feel the same way too. I wanted to empty the laundry basket and have fresh and clean clothes to bring on our trip. Although I know that we aren’t making the trip to my hometown anymore, I still feel we are going somewhere.

I have been making some cleaning-up project since Monday. I already washed the windows, dusted shelves and tables, waxed the floor, rearranged the bedroom, totally cleaned and sorted out the stuffs on Ella’s desk and the laundry just dried up. But there’s more to do around this small house.

So this morning, after Ella and Donald left for school I began waxing the floor again and cleaning the two small rooms. They really need some cleaning because it was a mess. The second room was made as a stock room/walk-in-closet/laundry room/play room. When we moved in last May, I piled boxes of materials for my crafts, books, business magazines and some old letters and cards up on the top of the bunk bed. Then there’s also a large bag of stuffed toys that I do not want to bring out until we have a good place for them to settle. In the bottom is where bags of spare beddings, curtains and clothes that I can’t yet decide whether to give them away or keep it; a bag of baby girl’s clothes that I have collected last year for my second baby that I might not use because my gut feeling says it’s a boy and the things that occupies almost the entire bottom bed are Ella’s toys. This is where I put our laundry baskets too. It would be organized although it sounds not until Ella starts to raid it and do some kind of “treasure hunting” from the bags and boxes. She would come in there and get what she needs in my boxes when doing crafts; dig in the bags when she’s in dressing up mode for her costumes or take her toys out in the living room and leave a trace of whirlwind.

The last room is for visitors and I left it all cleared. Nothing in there but the bunk bed and a mattress until this week when Ella took it over by moving some of her toys there and proclaiming it was her HOME like a rebel proclaiming it was her territory. A NO ENTRY ZONE.

This was not her first attempt to have the room for herself but bazillion times. Every time she brings her toys in there, I would be nagging to take her toys out in the living room. I preferred her playing in the living room because we could limit her clutter to a normal level. But the problem was when there are unexpected visitors coming like last week when Tatang and Inang came. Ella welcomed them by the door saying, “Pasok kayo Inang, Tatang…pasok…ay sorry ang dami dami kong kalat…” (Come in Inang, Tatang, come in….Oh I am sorry I made a big mess…). She said that giggling as if she was so thrilled what Tatang and Inang have seen.

This week when she started moving in the last room, I just shut my mouth. Little by little she has moved her pieces of toys in there. I finally gave up and so today I cleaned the third room, moved ALL her toys there, made the bed for her Teddy and her other bears which she dearly calls “mga anak” (my children). She has a tray of clothes for them from her own clothes drawer and some from my collection of baby clothes. When she arrived from school, she was not pleased to see me in there at all like I have trespassed her property. But when she saw me putting ALL her toys in there, she was in heaven. I think this is the best idea which I have overlooked before. If only I accepted what Ella was trying to say before, then I would be saved from headaches of seeing the second room and the whole house in a mess. I hope this will work well. ;-)

If you think I was done, not yet. I have yet to redo the second room tomorrow. ReBOX and ReBAG everything and am crossing my fingers that this will be left untouched. I was supposed to do it this afternoon after my nap but I went out in the front yard instead to pull some growing weeds. Like I said, I feel like I am leaving for a trip and I dreaded to come home in a house with weeds all over. I was done just when darkness started to cover half of the world. I am tired but happy.

On the other note, Donald said Ella’s final exam went well. Although we don’t have the test papers yet, he said Ella answered them correctly. The teacher also said that Ella is doing pretty good in oral lessons but is a bit slow to answer the papers for written lessons. Teacher Jane said Ella could answer her questions during the oral exam but for written exam, she would stare at her paper then look at the wall or the window before writing. Was she thinking the right answer? Was she just making sure it was correct? I do not know because we are very opposite. I could be too nervous with oral exam. :-(

About my worry of my youngest sister’s tuition fee, I was so dumb not checking my paypal account yesterday or the past days. While me and my sister Crislyn was chatting tonight, we talked about our Uncle Alfred who is dying, about going home to our hometown in Kabacan for the All Soul’s and Saint’s Day then about our sister’s tuition fee. I told her I may be able to send next week. Then I checked my paypal. I know I have $5 only to my name but I was so surprised to see I have $59 in there. :-) I do not know how it happened. Maybe this was from my blogging payout last time. So I was saved. I sent her the whole amount and she said she would get me one domain from the money too. Yay! I would be having two blogs! I actually have 4 but the other three are nonsense  So I am making one more to monetize it for more moolah. :-) Got to check CDL training since I already bore you guys with my novel.

Is Ella sleeping in the new room too, or is it just a play room? … Can we see pictures?
