Yesterday I could not think of how will I write my entry for the day. And so I posted a photo of my husband dear that makes me laugh each time I saw it. In hope that it could also make you smile
I have already posted about the young girl, Tadiday, who lives with us. Last Monday evening, her mother was infront of the house yelling and threatening her. She left as soon as she has delivered her “speech”. After a few minutes while we are having dinner, Tadiday’s younger sister called and Donald went out to ask what was it. Read more… »
Archives for September, 2008
I needed a good laugh today so I checked some photos that could make my day. Here’s the best one.
Donald will really get mad whee he sees this photo.
I was working on OHJ one morning when I turned around and find him asleep like this.
Our day went well with drizzles during late afternoon. I was too lazy to do the laundry and I am crossing my fingers that I could drag my feet into doing it tomorrow. After Ella and Donald left for school, I went back to sleep until Ella was back after 3 hours. One of her classmates pinched her on the left arm that left three little wounds. Donald wasn’t able to talk to the teacher and the boy who did it because she just met Ella almost halfway from the school. Even if Donald would go back to the school, the boy might have gone home. So when I asked Ella how school was and she showed me her wounds, I was totally mad. I interviewed Ella what happened and she said the teacher has put her chair close to the seat on her back so she moved in forward a little. That is when the boy infront of her got mad and pinched her thrice (with the other boy saying “Do it harder!”). She cried and she told the teacher what happened and the teacher scolded the boy. I hate to say that I am frustrated at what is happening inside the classroom even when the teacher is around. I told Ella to ask the teacher to transfer her seat beside the “good” kids but she said all of them are “bad”. :sighs:
So tomorrow Donald will talk to the teacher and the stupid boy. I am suggesting he should talk to the mother too because she should know and “hopefully” discipline her son.
I was a really really stressed with what is going on in here. Tadiday’s mother was furious that she won’t go home. Yesterday after worship, Tadiday went to their home because her mother wanted to talk to her “again”. She was insisting that Tadiday will go home so she can work in the ricefield during school days to pay off her debt. She knew I won’t let Tadiday be absent from her classes to pay her mother’s debt during school days because what we agreed is Tadiday can harvest rice during Saturdays only. In fact I should not let her work during Saturdays because it is the only time she can help us here in the house. But just to help the mother too, I agreed on that arrangement. But now she wanted her daugther to work whenever she wanted. I pity the girl because her mother said she will disown her if she won’t go home.
Early today she went to their house to get something and her mother was furious. Yelling she will throw all her clothes and burn them up if she won’t go home. Then again this evening she was called and again the issue is to go home. She didn’t said a word and left. The mother went near the house and was yelling….”Kung dili ka muuli karon, ilabay ko tanan imong mga sanina diri!!!! Pangita ug laing inahan nimo!!!” (If you won’t go home, I will throw all your clothes here!!! Look for another mother!!!) I was afraid what Donald might do because he was just holding his tongue and controlling his temper. What we wanted is for the mother to talk to us maturely because we talked to them maturely before Tadiday went to live with us.
I pity this girl because she really do not want to go home. We talked to her several times what is her decision and it won’t change. She is staying with us. Donald and I said we will support her decision because she hasn’t done anything wrong to be treated like that by her own mother. I was trying so hard not to be affected but I can’t help feel very bad about it. She wanted to finish school. She deserves it so much. If we let her go back to her mother, we know for sure her life will be back in misery. This is crazy!
It is Sunday once again, Ella’s favorite day of the week. I woke up feeling so sore on my back and legs so I stayed in bed until almost 8 in the morning. Kid’s snacks are prepared last night so there’s nothing to hurry about. We had a quick breakfast of rice and left over vegetables from last night after I had a shower. Ella was so excited for the service and the Sunday School and she was the first human in the chapel. Human I should say because Bogart, her dog, was already there.
Last night Ella passed out earlier than usual because she doesn’t took a nap and because she was crying. She went to the store with Tadiday and Ella as hyper as she is could not walk, ran fast as she could and stumbled on the rocks which I can say was quite hard because her jammies has a hole on the right knee.
Good that she wears jammies…she got only a little bruise from the accident.

She was too tired and has slept soundly without drinking milk. I waited for her to wake up to pee so I could let her drink it.
We have some problems in our church which I would really like to be taken cared of. First is the chairs. We only have 25 mono block chairs, two long benches and two shorter ones. One of the long bench is carried to our Kid’s class each Sunday before we start and back to the chapel after the class. So if we will have some visitors, some need to stand up like what we did the last time we had some visitors. Then the song books. We had enough numbers of song books if and only if they are ALL the same. What we have are two different song books and some songs on the other book could not be found on the other one. I always put a song book on a chair then leave a chair empty so the two persons sitting together could “share” and we all could sing together using the green book which has the most hymns that we sing. I did it again yesterday when I arranged the hall for the service but to my dismay, when I went in for the worship service after my class with the kids, I have NO song book to open. I looked around and saw the people infront have one each and they are like whispering to themselves while singing.
All in all the service went well as well as my kid’s class. With only two kids, it is so quite and I have not strained myself too much like I always do. Ella and another girl named Camille, enjoyed our story about Hannah, his son Samuel and Eli the preast. The good thing about having no coloring pages related to the story is that kids can exercise their imagination and creativity. And I could say they are very creative and imaginative! I always laugh at how Ella drew. Here’s her version of Eli the priest, Hannah and Samuel.

As you noticed this is a picture of the new generation
Eli the preast wears a baseball cap, shirt and pants. Hannah wears a beautiful blue dress with a wide belt and carrying a handbag (probably LV). And Samuel also wear a cap, holding a toy car and a dog!
Please do not judge me.
I read them a story with good illustrations but Ella just loves playing with her drawings and she said boys needs to wear cap because they look silly with nothing on their heads.
And for Hannah…oh well, I need to ask her tomorrow the reason behind her glamorous look.
And I don’t even know Samuel has a dog!
Saturday again and it was supposed to be an exciting day for me. Remember, I am crazy over ukay-ukay but today I have to keep myself from buying even just a piece. The three of us went to the market. Tadiday, the student who lives with us, has to go to the rice field to harvest rice. This is what me and her mother agreed before. I can get her daughter to live with us, work for us (just the light chores before and after school) and in return we will pay for everything for her studies…BUT the mother will “borrow” Tadiday every Saturday when the harvest time comes so THEY BOTH can work. The reason? So her daughter can help her pay her debt.
Before it was perfectly fine with me. But as harvest time is nearing, I can’t help but tell Donald how this mother can dare let her daughter to work such a heavy job just to pay off HER debt. I know I could not do anything about it but what made me more disappointed is that the mother was just there in their house while Tadiday worked whole day and that I know for sure she will take ALL the money her daughter made for the day.
Another thing is, she and her husband are paid each month as care takers of the church before we moved here. Their job is to put on the light int he church building each night and put it off each morning, water hte plants and clean and prepare the hall for worship. When we moved here (while Tadiday was not yet living with us), Donald and I suggested we could have some groups to help in keeping the church building tidy and ready for worship and this was implemented. So the care takers job now is just the ligths and the plants yet they are receiving the same wage. Tadiday did the job without complain and when we get her, she water the plants and takes care of the lights each day. Her mother wanted her to do the work for them and yet she is the one who receives the whole wage (never ever gave Tadiday even a single cent from it). There are also days when the mother will come to Tadiday to ask for money because she knew I am giving Tadiday allowance for school.
All I can say is I am very lucky she is not my mother.
The cleaners for today hasn’t showed up so I decided I’d clean the hall myself and not wait for them. After cleaning the hall and the comfort room, I took a shower and called Ella to get in because she has not taken a bath too. While I was scrubbing her elbow, she asked:
Ella: “Mommy, tayo ba ang pitcher dito?” (Mommy, are we the pitcher here?)
Mommy: “Ano????” (What?)
Ella: “Pitcher…’yung nagtuturo and nagtatrabaho dito sa church.” (Pitcher…the one who teaches and works in the church.)
Mommy: “Ang sinasabi mo, preacher hindi pitcher….” (You are talking about preacher, not pitcher….)
Thanks to Ella she made me laugh!
Anyway, I was thinking why not try the online stores that I found in the internet? I came across Manolo Blahniks. They have the best items, although I could not afford it but it is worth dreaming for.
As I already posted last night, Donald played “Jack of all Trade” and did some tweaking on the PC to make it look like Windows Vista. And then…poofff…he could not access to any program. Such a genius!
Well, I could now laugh at it…but last night I was really mad because I so wanted to blog and blog hop and maybe I could grab some opps. Anyway, he already learned his lesson and my dear PC is back on its normal state again
Today was pretty good. So good to take a nap because it rained. Ella went to school bringing a bond paper for their drawing session. She told me last night that Teacher would want them to bring ONE piece but I insisted that she’d bring TWO. At this stage, the Teacher is always right and the little kids always say “Sabi ni Teacher isa lang…” (Teacher said to bring just one…) or just anything that the teacher said. I remember the joke about a teacher. She was teaching 1st grade, she said…” A as in Apple” (pronounced as A as in EYPOL)
But anyway, when Ella was about to leave for school I wrapped two pieces of bond paper in case she makes a mistake. I don’t know what her reaction was when she discovered Mommy sent TWO.
After school, Ella played like she always did. She dressed up like Barbie in Fairytopia and scattered all her plastic toys in the living room. She doesn’t fail to dig on the other room what she could find on the bags where I kept all the costumes I got from our store before. She has this Tinker bell, Jasmine, Cinderella, Snow White, Barbie and those ballerina costumes too. Today she chose to be Barbie and was enjoying every moment.
The Fairy who claims to be a mother
to two beautful bears
who lives in this house
and loves making meals out of clay and leaves
and is crazy over her ironing
It is half past nine but Ella was still playing. She changed into an Angel costume. Can’t take photo because the battery is dead. Before she changed to Angel, she was a Ballerina and twirling in the living room like crazy bum like she has taken tons of energy pills. She is can stay wide awake until after midnight if we let her.
Just a quick post. Our day went well, just an ordinary day…except that Donald did some tweaking on the PC. Downloading and installing some nonsense stuff that he said would make it looked like Windows Vista. He did this once successfully, but he has to undo since I cannot read my emails the way it should be. This time he tried again and failed. So my dear husband brought the CPU to a technician in town that he befriended weeks ago and was back half past 11pm. Ella was waiting for her Daddy and was already sleeping when Donald came back. She was awaken by his voice and was on her feet again enjoying her Daddy’s presence. They ate dinner together and watched TV like they have not seen each other for century.
What a day! Early morning I tried to work, like any other day I will be in and out of the tool. Since my schedule is 5 pm to 1 am, I can work only during morning until early afternoon when the queue is high. Then off again whenever queue drops. After I logged out the second time at half past 8, I discovered I could not get in other sites and was redirected to Smart Bro page. We called Smart Bro and they said our internet connection is temporarily disconnected. WHAT!??!!!! Donald has paid one month bill yesterday through LBC so I asked why. The lady said I have to wait 3 working days before my account get reactivated again. And since I have two months balance all in all and was now temporarily disconnected, I need to settle the whole amount I owed them. I almost yelled to the lady that I have not paid the whole two months bill because they still owe me a refund or rebate for having NO internet connection for A WEEK last July. Thinking I am still the one on the lossing end here (since there is no other internet provider here in the province and that I really need to have my connection back so I can work), I sent Donald over to pay the remaining balance. Then I called them again and was told I have to wait for 24 hours before I get reconnected. Maybe they are just afraid of me being from Mindanao, that I may send them over a batallion of MILF (just kidding!), they reconnected my internet at half past 4 in the afternoon. If only they did not act that quick, I will definitely blog about how bad their services. In fairness to the lady whom I got to talk (and almost yelled), she accommodates very well and is very professional in handling customers. I honestly could not do her job. Maybe I would yell too or just hang up
But I also thought, maybe they always get the same call each day and they are used to raging complains that they developed this sense of peace while talking to a dissapointed customer.
Other than this event, my day went well. Ella went to school like usual. When she arrived from school, she began her oration of thanking God that we had a TV
All she did was play with her babies and watch TV while we tried to take a nap. The heat is making me more nauseated. When I feel sick, I hold it as much as I can. Throwing up makes my heart palpitate and I hate the feeling like I was drowning.
We did our grocery shopping in the afternoon. Just picked some items we need and headed home. Donald put together the screen that we used before in our store and put the chicks inside. They are growing fast. We are laughing at their sizes…like DO RE MI FA. It is good they don’t have the same sizes so in time for them to get in the pan, we can butcher one at a time.
Ella woke up so early today and never fussed with the cold water when she was called for a bath. We even had an hour to snuggle back in bed while waiting for her to go to school. I also did coding early and was glad I had finished 8 hours of work just in time for Donald and Ella to leave to get “their” TV. Oh well, I must say it is theirs as I am not really into getting a TV yet. But they are both insistent. You could have seen how they try to convince me. It was so irritating!!!! I then said they can get a TV but they cannot bring me to that store. So….after I logged out from OHJ, off they went while I just laid in bed. That is about 4:30 pm.
At almost an hour, a truck came and surely they did bring a big box! GRRRRRR!!!! Well, I could not argue with them now because they both promised to be good.
I just watched Donald moved out the big table that used to be our dining table. Tadiday helped him out with the clearing of the living room to give room for the TV rack. Just in time for Donald to assemble the rack, we discovered we are out of LPG. Donald went out to get a refill so HE can cook. Yes he fixed dinner and I am crossing my finger that he will do the laundry tomorrow without me.
That is what letting hubby get what they wanted, they are the biggest volunteers. They do things without orders. Oh how I wish they are just like that E.V.E.R.Y.D.A.Y. But that is not we have agreed for. You wouldn’t believe what he really did bargain for just to get a TV? He agreed that he’d take care of the chamber pot everyday without complain.
Yes we’re using chamber pot to pee because the bathroom is behind the chapel and we have to walk 50 yards to get there in the middle of the night.
I have read reviews on weight loss pills. I remember that when I was still in highschool, these became popular. I was wondering back then if those pills really worked. Through time it was proven, well some of it…while some only claims they are the best and yet has too many side effects. One of the worst thing that happened were deaths and it scares me to think how some people still take those slimming pills. I then thank God I belong to the not-so-healthy-group. Although I have big bones and large frame, my “meat” just wraps them around and nothing more. LOL
When I came across to Consumer’s Price Watch lately, I was surprised that there’s a site like this that gives unbiased, honest reviews and opinions on Cheap Phentermine , a substance that was FDA approved in 1959 as appetite suppressant drug. Since then it has been widely used by obese individual to suppress hunger and lose weight. It was the most powerful appetite suppressants that is considered safe and well tolerated. Numerous research and sudies has proven this to be effective weight loss pills when taken with diet and exercise. Consumers are advised to monitor closely any possible and occuring side effects for the first few days of use.
