Last night, after I have posted my entry and did some blog hopping, the power went off again at exactly 12 midnight. After 15 hours of black out yesterday, we were given a chance to do the dishes, watch Sharon, blog and blog hop for 2 and a half hours then it went off again. I didn’t had a nap in the afternoon because it was too hot and I was fanning Ella with a cardboard. I was looking forward to having a good sleep last night but I was really dismayed how unlucky I was. I was hoping that there would be at least strong cool wind so it won’t be like hell but not even a single blow came. In short, I really don’t have sleep until the lights went back when it is almost dawn.
At 7 am, I thought I was sleeping when I heard someone calling my name by the gate. I listened closely who it could be, then I recognized whose voice it was so I called Donald to open the gate. Oh well, it was Kuya Jun, a member who tapped the electric cable from here in the house to the two houses of the members passing by a private lot. Kuya Jun cut the cable, the reason? GOSSIPS. Remember what I told you about the neighbors? Now they again took a big rock to hit their own heads. The owner of the lot where the cable passed (which is illegal) was the Uncle and he knew that his nieces are big gossipers so he warned them that if he heard that they pass gossips about him and his family, he will cut their electric cable or he will report this illegal act to the town’s electric office. Of course they agreed, who would say no if you really need to have electricity? After two months, they don’t have electricity. Good for them. I hope they will learn their lesson.
On the other hand, Inang and Tatang came here because they fear we might leave Trento because of this kind of member/neighbors. If we do, they won’t have someone to help them in the church works. I assured them we won’t leave just because of them. I was actually laughing at how funny they could be when in rage. Their yells could wake the dead and I could only giggle at them because none of them will listen.
I can’t believe how their tongues could stand the non-stop gossiping. I told them after the incident here that they need to keep themselves busy at work so they could earn money for food and not sit with other neighbors whole day to gossip. I was very thankful that the harvest season has started because they are busy in the ricefield….oh yes, they are busy gossiping. I can’t imagine how they can manage to bend and cut rice stalks while talking endlessly? Don’t they exhaust their energy faster doing that? ![]()

Sounds crazy! … I’m glad we don’t have to deal with it here… Though, to be honest, it would be Joe doing the gossiping. He always has his nose where it doesn’t belong!
