As I mentioned on my last post, I will be making some more improvement on my blog and I hope I did it better with this new theme. I was hoping for a total make over
But I only have a few downloaded themes to choose from. I have found some nice ones but have to send it to my sister Kerslyn for her to upload it and send it back to me. Maybe in a few more days I can finalize my theme….my fourth theme.
Today we spent the day having fun. First thing in the morning, Donald checked our eon account and our earnings from OHJ has been sent so after Ella’s class we all headed to the market. Poor us….we weren’t able to see the world for two weeks now since our earnings was delayed for a couple of weeks. We had a brunch at The Resto, the only snack house which serves burgers, pasta, halo-halo and combo meals. Ella and I both had cheese burgers while Donald had a platter of rice, chicken, pansit miki, banana cake and shrimp fries (their own version of Chowking Lauriat)
As usual Ella only ate the bun
This is why when she asks for burger, we just buy her a plain bread because the beef patty, cheese and anything else in it will be thrown on my plate and I end up having the biggest and fattest burger there.
Then we went to the only saloon we know of around town. We were there last June and we are pleased by Nelson’s job (the gay beautician and hairdresser). He is nice too. Donald and I had our hair trimmed. I had trimmed Ella’s hair weeks ago so she just waited for us to get done. Here’s our new look.
This is one of the rarest thing to happen…to be able to get a decent photo of my dear husband. He always rolls his eyes or stick his tongue out each time I take a snap.
Since Ella was waiting for the day that she could play at the park again, we decided to go there and let her play for an hour. The weather cooperated this time. It was not too hot at 11 am and it did not rain too so she had a blast. There were not too many kids around so she had the slide all be herself. We took some snaps taking advantage of Ella’s sunny mood.
After an hour we went home. She don’t want to leave yet but we promised we’ll be back in the afternoon. So there was no complain. While Ella was feeding her chicks, I sat here infront of my pc tweaking my theme when she came back and surprised me with a beautiful bouquet.
It is a firetree flower which she picked in the yard. She said she wanted to thank me and Daddy for bringing her in the park. Isn’t she so sweet? Look at her vase! An old wine bottle where she put in water so the flowers won’t wilt. Oppss….we didn’t drink that wine. I got that bottle from my cousin who bought a few kinds of it during the wedding of another cousin. My cousin said it’s for the ladies only, so while the guys are having their own drinking session, my cousins and my two sisters emptied three bottles while we are having a wonderful time chatting. It was one of the best times, when cousins get together. I really do not drink because I could not take the smell and taste so I volunteered to be the one to fill the shot glass. I did it fast, filling it up to its brim so I can take the bottles home.
I planned to do some glass painting in it but I am such a big procastinator remember? Finally, it has a purpose now. A vase.
In the afternoon, after Ella and I had a nap, we headed back to the park. Donald bought mango shake, doughnuts and shrimp crackers on one of the stall outside while I watched Ella play. The town fiesta is nearing and there were barbeque stalls too which was the reason why I and Donald agreed to return.
There were many kids playing and Donald always says I am such a nervous Mom because I always tell him to check on Ella. Oh well I am just afraid that she might get pushed down the high ladder or fall from the see saw. Ella did enjoy and her “suitor” (the boy in her class who gave her a ring) happened to be there too with his father. Did they agreed to see each other in the park?
Donald laughed at me when I asked him that.
When it was time to go, Ella asked me if she could stay 10 minutes more. I said yes. She ran to the slide but after a few strides she went back and asked me how long 10 minutes is.
She is so funny! After the 10 minutes is over, we had a barbeque dinner at one of the stalls. Then we walked to the “Perya” and played a couple of games. Ella enjoyed and wanted to play some more but never fussed when it’s time to go home because she is more tired than us.
