It is Sunday once again. I really wonder how time flies so fast. I have pressed our Sunday dresses last night while we watch tv so I have much time in the morning. Donald was already dressed while I and Ella are still trying to wake our body systems
At our Children’s Class, Ella and other kids could not almost believe how Moses divided the sea. If I was not holding a Children’s Bible Story Book, they will really wonder if I was only making up story so they won’t get bored.
I was just glad I have not read the story to Ella during our reading time, if not she could have ruined the whole drama of the story.
During the worship service I sat at the back with Ella on my lap and with a song book too
Before everyone arrived, I asked Donald to bring me one so I could sing each line. I have mentioned before that we do have problems with the singing. People infront get each song book and they sing or should I say whisper to themselves and we at the back don’t have any. So this morning I wanted to be sure I have one.
But after the worship service, there was an announcement that Bro. Robert Buchanan, a missionary based in Davao City, said there will be 300 song books to arrive soon and he have alloted 100 song books to our congregation. Yay! I am thrilled!
For lunch, we had fried chicken because it is the easiest to prepare. Every Sunday we starve after the worship service so we have to cook lunch in the morning or just fry anything after the service. After lunch, nap time of course. We Pinoy just loves “siesta”. We got it from our Spanish relatives.
I had a bad head ache again. It was due to heat. I was up after an hour and made pancake mix for “merienda”. We also got it from our Spanish relatives.
I remember how an American friend call me crazy before because I eat breakfast, morning snacks, lunch, afternoon snacks, dinner and midnight snacks. That’s just us. The real Pinoy. For 300 years that Spainards rule our country, surely we have every reason do adopt their ways. Or should I say excuses.
So when Ella woke up from her nap, I fed her little tummy with the BEST pancake in the whole wide world. Opsss! That is what my daughter said and I never doubt her sincerity.
Donald agrees to that too but he wanted it to be almost burnt. Yes! He wanted it real brown and crunchy on the edge. I just hate it when I make pancakes because they eat faster than I could make! I could not even sit down and have a piece for myself while they are eating.
Then went outside to water the almost dying plants and pulled weeds on the front yard. Had a chit chat with some neighbors. One asked for breadfruit for dinner and I let them pick some from the tree at the back. Another one complained that her husband has a very high fever. Gave her 24 tablets of Aspirin in hopes he will get well. They had no money so I said we will buy his husband Flanax tomorrow when we get paid from coding.
For dinner Donald prepared a very good Pochero. He did cooked it very well but the rice is just enough for one serving for each of us. POUTS. But is is alright, I don’t want to eat more rice since I am not yet through my “paglilihi”. I just worry about the dog, Bogart. He is such a good boy. He does his job as our security guard especially at night and mind you, he is the only dog I knew that never misses Sunday worship service. He sits at the back of the hall from the start until the colsing prayer and announcements. He deserves a good meal and I think I will just cook him rice that will go perfectly with his share of Pochero.

I have the same problem when I make waffles… I have a griddle for making things like pancakes, so I can cook 6 at the same time. But my waffle iron only makes one at a time, and by the time I’ve made everyone’s waffles, and then some for myself, everyone else is done. *lol*
