A talking goat

Have you heard of a goat talking? I don’t either but Ella says she does. While they are playing outside, two goats entered the gate. I didn’t saw it but Ella relates the story to me while she’s having dinner. An orange goat (what? orange?!) came in from the road, with a twine on her neck (Ella assumed it was a SHE). Then she said the goat asked her if they can play together. Then another goat, a black one (that is something I would believe, than an orange one LOL) entered the gate, he doesn’t wore a twine on his neck (This time, Ella assumed the second one was a HE) They played for a while, I can hear Ella scream in excitement but I never thought she’s talking with the goats! Then the black goat seemed to whisper something in the orange’s ear. It was like they must go home. So the SHE followed the HE home.

-the end-

We are moving!!!!!!

I had slight migraine last night, not too bad. Then today, I feel burning sensation in my back….I had 2 servings of spaghetti last night and another two today :-( and I want some more but migraine scares me so much!

My two sisters went to Bankerohan to buy vegetables, it’s a lot cheaper there. It’s the place where you can find cheapest commodities straight from the farmers. Ella went with them excitedly. When they passed by a bookstore, she almost scream and told my sister Crislyn that she’d buy something. So they went in, my sister can’t resist this little girls charm, and she picked a notebook, a scissors, ruler, eraser set, sticker and water color. She aslo picked a skipping rope, she asked my sis if she can have it, then my sis answered she can have it but she if she will put back the other things she’d picked….she put the skipping rope back and said “Ay, ‘wag na lang, may tali pa man ako…” (She was saying she has a rope at home, a nylon twine, was untangled on both ends ) This is always we do to her, if she asks for two or more things, she has to choose ’cause she can’t have everything she wants. And she would choose her “projects” (art materials) rather than the toy. I think she has learned so much from what we are going through. She has learned not to insist what she wants.

We will soon be moving!!!! Yipey!!! I know I have posted many times about moving and the truck…the truck that wasn’t :-) Now we are definitely be moving! The truck hasn’t come yet and there’s no point is waiting for it forever. A friend and a hero at WUAH (ihs1954) sent me money for the moving expenses. She’s soooo generous to help us move. Donald will talk again to a truck owner for the final arrangements of the date. She wanted us to get settled in the province as soon as possible. Also, another friend, Elisabeth and her husband will be sending the package soon. We are all excited!!! Elisabeth is a teacher in the US and her students and friends are sending us gifts too. And Beth asked me what do my sister, BIL and her parents-in-law need (my younger sis too) ’cause she wanted to send them stuffs too as a thank you for letting us stay here in their place. They are all wonderful. We have been blessed knowing them all.

Happy birthday!

Today’s Donald’s birthday and I am sooo happy ’cause we have the same age now! LOL I am 4 months older ya know. Somebody sent a few $$ for a dinner date but it takes a few days to clear so what we had is a small cake! We’ll postpone the dinner date until we got the money :-)

Ella is super active today. She played in the morning until in the afternoon. She almost forgot to eat lunch. I called her in when darkness sets in. We were lying in bed when she keeps saying “thank you mommy” and putting wet kisses on my cheek. I asked her why she’s saying thank you, she said “because I am receiving many gifts on my birthday”. Yeah she’ll be getting packages from the heroes in the US and I am excited too. I said we will take a nap (nap? It’s almost 6pm!) so she will grow fast. Then she answered “I don’t want to grow because you will ask me to do this…do that…then I have many house chores then” What a smart answer! She also threw a question last night that I didn’t know if I have asked it myself when I was her age. While I am putting her to sleep, she asked “Mommy, why is it our breath will go on and on while we are sleeping?” Hmmm……this questions scares me! This is it…the question and answer portion until she’s 18 or so. I have to be ready for more neck breaking questions. LOL

EDIT: My sister, Kuya Ace and her parents-in-law went dowtown to pick some groceries. They included spaghetti ingredients for Donald’d burpday and Kuya Ace bought chicken too. The good thing here is the birthday boy prepared his own spaghetti! LOL Bye for now, I’d be helping him before he’ll walk out

Thanks for the wireless router

I am not quite sure when but when Kuya Ace (my BIL) purchased wireless router, it was like I’m in heaven. I was the one who benefited from it. He was too kind to buy one since I’d wait for them to finish their OHJ and blogging before I can work with my own blog. I had my own computer but it would not connect directly with the internet, so one night I was ecstatic to see a box sitting on the chair. I was like grinning from ear to ear and was too excited while he and Donald set it up. Since he had bought the router, I had all the luxury time blogging and I grew more and more hooked on it.

Cracks

Ella played until midnight. She had Carrot dressed in baby clothes that I have saved for her sister (if God will bless us with another bouncing baby girl) :-) That’s what Ella wanted, a baby girl. I asked her what if it was a boy, she answered “Eh di palitan natin…” ( Let us exchange it) What?!! Was it a dress that you can exchange if it doesn’t fit? LOL My sister was teasing her that we will wait for the mall’s midnight sale so we can buy her a baby sister for a 50% OFF and she pouts saying she don’t want one that is bought. She wants one that is made. Well, with the rice shortage right now, we can’t afford to have another baby yet. We should be settled first with a home and food and with basic needs. I want her to send to a good school and not be deprived of her needs. In short, the truck should come soon.

Speaking of the truck…I hope next time we will be told that it will come, it will. We need really need to move and get settled in Agusan before June comes so we can have still time to find a school for Ella. We are told last time that the church can offer little amount for our help with the church work. And the rice too, which I can tell now that it would be a great help since the rice price increased drastically. We have actually accepted the work before even without the cash allowance, but with this offer we are more than grateful and who would resist such a blessing? So there would be a house where we would live, rice and allowance. While Donald will be off for church works everyday, I will be left at home. Good that I have this blog to keep me busy and at the same time earn. Being approved by PPP and PayU2Blog is such a blessing. And writing essay for Academi-Research too! I can have dollars and in time, we can get through with our struggle with finances right now.

I was infront of my pc when Ella went beside me and said “Tingnan ko nga mata mo Mommy. O, may dugo na….may mga crack na….’di ka kasi natutulog.” (Let me see your eyes Mommy. See there’s blood, there’s some cracks…it’s because you are not sleeping). The CRACK thing pertains to my blood shot eyes. It just made me laugh how she looked so worried about the CRACKS on my eyes. As if she’s seing cracks on eggs. LOL

PPP approved me!

I have received a great news today! My blog is approved by payperpost!!!!! Yipey! After a month and 11 days my blog has been finally approved. Yes, FINALLY. Because I have been praying that they will approve my blog and was declined more than thrice because my blog has not reached the minimum age. Must be 3 months, and been changed to 2 months. Still I have submitted my blog again thinking maybe they PPP will get annoyed by my persistence. When I last submitted my blog this week, I was not expecting them to approve it that’s why I am surprised when I got their email.

I heard about PPP from my sister Crislyn who have been blogging two months ahead of me and was approved since February. She encouraged me to apply because she’s earning good sum from it. Since I am stay-at-home-mom might as well try it. Good that I was introduced to PPP because everywhere I hop, almost all the blogs much older than mine are PPP approved, and I feel like being an authentic member of the blogging world now that I am a member too! I am looking forward to more opportunities here since we have lost our little business and our little home. This will be a big help to us in sending Ella to a good school, to pay for my youngest sister’s tuition fee and pay the remaining balance of my computer.

Family Portrait

There’s still not much going on today. The girls were here again and they busily played outside. Ella is getting better and better in skipping rope. She is also getting more and more excited about her birthday. I have a surprise for her but I blew it off! I am just a moron…can’t keep surprises to myself. :-) I just would like to share our family portrait. Tantararan……

This is our family portrait drawn by Ella on our desktop. She is so creative! Isn’t she? She had made lots of portraits and I will post it some other time if I have the time to set up the scanner. Donald packed it already in the box ready for our move. Here’s another one too which she made after I have told her that our cousin (her Tito Sherwin who hung himself last March 17) is dead. It was made of little plastic flowers she plucked on its stem and used a double-sided tape to hold the flowers. She carefully laid it on top of the casket and seemed teary eyed while gazing at her Tito Sherwin’s face.
Nobody taught her this. Maybe she saw an arrangement of flowers that looks like this on the funerals we have attended. She seems to have a photographic memory :-)

How’s your karma?

You Have Good Karma

In general, you like to do the right thing when it comes to others.Your caring personality really shines through.Sure, you have your moments of weakness - and occasionally act out.

But, all in all, you’re karma is good… even with those few dark spots.

How’s Your Karma?

I was almost done with the book I am reading. We had a power black out at 3 in the afternoon. Good thing about it was I had waxed the floor, arranged the boxes and crates that we are going to bring when the truck comes. My sister Crislyn finally had time to shape up their room too.

Ella just played around with the girls as usual. It was much longer today. I am thinking about giving the two girls stuffed toys before we leave. There are toys from our store that hadn’t been sold which I am planning to give to the kids in Agusan. Ella doesn’t play with stuffed toys that much, might as well give them to children who don’t have toys. They are 11 and 9, much older than Ella but I know they will be very happy to have one.

Six little heads

To those who wished that the truck will come today, please wish some more. I have not expected much about it coming over today but I have crossed my fingers. Might as well cross my toes too  I don’t care when as long as it will not be late for Ella to get enrolled in kiddie II.

Done with the laundry this morning after I leisurely read my book “While I was Gone”. I bought it on sale last January for $.80. To think that Oprah’s Book Club seal is on the cover made me feel so proud that I did made a good buy. My left eye hurts so I read with just the right. I am used to it (the occasional pain) since I have been having this problem two years now. I had it checked and was told my eyes needs artificial tears. My eyes gets dry easily that results to sharp, agonizing pain. The drops cost almost a can of Ella’s milk that I resorted to visine.

I asked Donald to get the laundry on the clothes line because my fingers starts to hurt (or itch?). They need exercise on the keyboard and can’t wait to read my emails. I surely had a reason to get anxious on reading those because I had an email from Academia-Research telling me that I passed the trial test as an essay writer. At last I am now a member of the team! :-) This will keep me busy since my blog was not approved yet by ppp or smorty :-( Can’t wait for my blog to be 3 months old! I have set a countdown and I still have to wait 2 months. But I will tire them anyway by resubmitting my application every now and then  Maybe they will approve my blog just to get rid of me

Ella as usual played with the kids. She’s getting better on skipping rope which she does more of a run than of a jump. I was having my small dose of reading while Donald did some downloading on the pc when I heard the annoying door bell of her doll house that goes over and over. I stood by the window to see six heads! There are only three different sizes of heads yesterday, and some other days when the boys joined in, that made five. But now there’s another head popping in and out. I want Ella to experience what is it to play with other kids but Lord I don’t want to see seven heads tomorrow
